I see that the port for the pvc hose is in the front and there is another port for power brakes in the rear can i use the rear for my pvc?

Are you asking if you can use either large port for the PVC?
You should be able to use either one if you don't have power brake booster or run the booster off the intake manifold plug. They are both "plumbed" from the baseplate, therefore should both have the same exact vacuum signal (intake manifold vacuum).
Did you try a different pump cam, shooter? it on the truck for delivery today. The off idle bog is real, I have the street avenger on my 340 duster. There is still play no matter how you adjust the arm on the accelerator pump. Other than that I can reach in the window and it will start right up and run it thru the rpm's just fine. The off idle stumble sucks tho. I've used vacuum gauge, double checked timing and it's the play in the arm on the avengers causing it. I can throw an edelbrock I have that I know works fine on it and it runs fine.
Not saying one is better than the other, just letting you know the issue I've ran into with the avenger.

I have the 570 and have no off idle stumble. Did have to make some adjustments though, not a bolt and go. Also I used the rear large vac port for my PCV.
Off idle stumble, the first thing to do is to check the clearance of the accelerator pump linkage (.015").
Also make sure that you have your timing right. Can't tune a carb if your timing is off.
Here's a link to the Holley tech site with videos on how to tune your carburetor:

Timing is spot on and the clearance is .15 .
Thanks jim thats the news i want to here, trust me I dont expect it to be right on, i have all ready change the secondary spring to the light yellow, and than a jet change from 65 to 69 is next and than my 4.5 power valve,my cam has low vacume.Ihave had a flat befor so that i am sure i can work that out, when you get some wing wang on you tube it cause doubt.hey snake...bought a 670 last year to replace the original thermoquad on a mildly built 360.
The TQ worked well but with the alum. intake I wanted an electric choke. I've never had a holley before (I have used TQ's and AFB's) but anyway it worked well right OOTB with a minor secondary float adjustment and maybe an eighth of a turn on the idle mixtures to tweak it. I used the factory secondary spring ( I have a 4500 lb truck - 355's)
it starts right up on fast idle , and runs well with no bog or hesitation at WOT
anyway I do miss the spreadbore carb and I think I may try a 750 street demon this summer as comparison
later, jim
Snake, this is copied from my project thread:
The sun was up and the road around where I live was dry, so today I could give it a testdrive with the new Holley 670 Street Avenger. I have not done a thing to it besides setting the idle yet. I was really impressed with it though. I ran very good, clearly an upgrade from the Edelbrock 600 I had on earlier. I could however feel/hear the seconds kicking in so Im gonna swap to a softer spring there later on and give everything a good tune up as soon as spring is here. Im psyched!
