Putting my Rb motor in my 68 Cuda. It has a QuickTime bellhousing. As you can see in the picture the bracket for the z bar hits the body. Motor still needs to go back a little more. Anybody else run into this? I don't want to just smash it in with a hammer. Thinking about cutting an access hole and then have a bolt in cover. Thoughts??

I would cut the corner off the bell bracket and weld in a filler piece if it were me.

I'd ditch the factory linkage and hydraulic, no fitment issues.

What transmission is that?

Hemi Mark has one also, called for a rebuild on his 4-speed and ended up with a new 5-speed......I think if anyone has the money, they can own one too.

I hope that's true now. At first, it certainly was not.
