I want to port match my MP M1 intake to my Magnum RPM heads. Can you give me tips on how you do it.

I have read that some just match to the Gasket. Not sure if this is the right way to go. I just want some opinions before I start.

you should mark the gasket you are going to use on both the head and intake.

keep in mind that different gasket makers have different sizes on the same gasket.

you can use dye if youhave it and scribe the outline on both - make the mounting holes the locator for the gasket and center them up

you need to scribe the marks on the ports and depending on how much needs to be removed, get deep into the port to have a smooth transition.

care must be taken around the corners of the port, as you spend twice as much time on the corners then at the middle of the port when working the bit back and forth - and this can form a dog bone type of port. Thats not what you want!

The heads and intake can be done the same way, and fit it up after cleaning things out. if it's a single plane you should have a pretty clear **** at the work you have done.

The simple or short answer is,
Match Roof and Dividing Wall and don't worry about the rest.

Nice article,DJV. Circle Track articles usually blow away everyone else's.
