Tires for Valiant

I currently run 195/65/R14's on my 76 Val. They are very tiny and make the car appear to short and low in the rear. What is the max tire size I can use for the rear utilizing the 14" rim and the max for the front. I know that the max is a little smaller on the front, as there is clearance issues when turning with a much larger unit. My goal is to give the car a more balanced look, with a slightly higher or higher stance than what it has.

If you are running the stock steel wheels, a 205/70-14 is about all the rim can take due to it's narrow width. You'll have no clearance issues with anything you can mount on the factory wheels. As for the stance, just lower the front slightly.
