I wouldn't order an off the shelf converter for anything. The proper torque converter is an extremely important part of the combination that can make or break how your car performs. You can get a custom converter built specifically for your application for mot much more than an off the shelf unit and it'll stall what you want/need. From what I've seen in the advertisements all Boss Hog converters have a stall range such as 2800-3200, no such thing as it'll stall at 2800 like you say unless you get real lucky. Just my .02
