Traction options

need a little help with my hunt for more traction. Currently have an 8.8 with 3:55 gears withOUT limited slip. Two options I see. Install a lunchbox type locker in current rear end. or swap in a new 8.8 with 3:73 and limited slip. I am tired of the one wheel spin.

Would the increase in cruise rpm be worth the extra gearing and traction???

Set up as follows.
69 barracuda, 383/727 with 27" tires.

You would probably barely notice the difference between those two ratio's as far as cruise RPM's, but you would get your limited slip.
