Trans cooler help needed

im in the market for a trans cooler. the car is a street/strip 67 dart. has 383 with eddy heads making 450 hp. the trans is a 727 with foward pattern cheetah manual valve body. i have a dynamic 4000 stall in it and a cast aluminum deep pan. i am looking at trans coolers and cant make up my mind as to which one i need and then where to place it. i would like to stay away from mounting in front of the radiator. i was hoping to keep that as clean as possible. what do you guys think about mounting the trans cooler on the bottom side of the trunk floor? (spare tire well cut out and replaced with flat sheet for fuel cell). im open to any and all suggestions.

You could look at something like this and mount it on a rear frame rail and plumb to it.

While you're at it I would also suggest a trans temp gauge as well.

i was considering using something like that along with a standard style trans cooler. i plan on driving this thing on the street alot and dont want to cook the trans.

Be careful how much you cool it. There is an optimum operating range for trans fluid temps.
