Installing a 70 904 and 318 into a 65 that had a console shift cable auto trans.

There is a little pushbutton in the old console wiring for the ( I assume) BU lights, Any ideas on how to hook that up to a aftermarket floor shifter?

Also: the Neutral safety switch. is the 3 pin on the newer trans. How do I get that to work in the 65?
I can't seem to locate the NSS wiring in my 65! lol. Ihad to be there when I took it apart.....can't find it now!

thanks.

Your original NSS wiring is a single wire (brown in color I believe) that connects the OEM single pole NSS to the starter relay. To use your 3 prong switch connect the 70 3 wire NSS harness center wire to the starter relay. The outer 2 wires are for the backup lights.

To get the backup lights to work, I think the easiest solution would be to connect the 2 outer wires I mentioned in the preceding paragraph to the OEM backup light harness. I ran a 70’s motor and transmission in a 65 Dart convertible doing these wiring mods
