I have a '67 Barracuda. It has 6 numbers Kind of hard to make out. What do they correspond to?

Larry, I think they are sequence numbers, matched to vin? I could be wrong tho.
Yes, should be partial VIN number, should match radiator support.

They are the SO number.
VIN numbers did not appear on the body or the fender tag until the 1969 models.

What does SO mean. Most of the cars I've had have been 69 or 70.
Oops, my car is a '68 and are VIN numbers.

I believe that it is for "Sales Order"
I have also seen those numbers referred to as "VON" or Vehicle Order Number.

1968 & before had the SO number & 1969 up had the VON.
Different terminology, but both numbers referred to the printed number on top of the actual paper order pad page for each car. Different number on each page of the pad.

Yes. SO number on the fender tag for 68 back.
The only way to match the SO to the VIN is with original paperwork like a broadcast sheet, invoice from the factory to the dealership, original Monroney label as three examples.
