Turbocharged Desoto hemi for 67 Valiant

I could no more pull this off, than to have a WWII sub shipped to my front yard, LOL

It looks to me like the wastegates installed incorrectly? Exhaust pressure should go in the bottom against the valve head. It looks to me like the exhaust is plumbed into the side. Hard to tell in the vid.
The top holes will be plumbed into the cockpit to regulators so I can adjust boost from there. Pressure will first come off the intake manifold to the regulator and then to the wastegates. If I just add a filter to the top of the wastegates, they will always open at the factory rated pressure. If unregulated manifold pressure is plumbed into the top of the wastegate, that pressure will assist the spring and the valve will never open.

OH MY GAWD!!!!

Gotta love it tho! The sheer looks of that thing is impressive! I'd LOVE to see and hear that on a Dyno!

AND, its under 400 cubes!

They're just in finger tight right now. Will pull one and add a photo.
The motor is in and the front end is together. Will be driven while it gets ready for paint.

How do you close the hood? Or is that going to be your cold air intake? :D

What do you make your molds from and how do you shape it? I've had some experience with composites.
The car is a 67, but I got a 69 hood and grill assembly. The 67 has an assembly running down through the grill assembly that holds the hood hold down. That gets in the way of the intercoolers. No room for the tranny cooler, so I got a glass bumper and the cooler will fit in the bumper.

I'll use the 69 hood as the plug. A draft angle will be made along the sides of the hood plug using Bondo. PVA will be the mold release along with wax. Strips of balsa will be used as stiffeners or I will use a special type of foam sheet to thicken the final product to make it stiff. Dumas products uses the same material to thicken the hulls of their boats without adding much weight. I use to have a set of glass fenders for a 69 Road Runner. They were solid glass with calcium carbonate fillers and were much heavier than the stock steel fenders. I will post photos after I get started.
