Hey Guys,

Is there supposed to be a washer in between the castle nut and the dust boot?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I just bought new upper ball joints & there is a washer. Now whether its right or not I don't know

If the hub assembly has a smooth flat surface for the nut to contact and a castle nut with a cotter pin just leave the washer off. (if you want to)

I just rebuilt my front end and as per the instructions that came with the Moog parts they stated that you will use the flat washer to adjust where the cotter pin hole lines up. If it's too high in the castle nut without the washer then put the washer under the nut so the hole is more centered in the slot of the nut.
I hope this is what you're referring to.
