V-8 center link

-
It matters on the early A's ('63-'66). The slant six center link is almost straight and the V8 one has a noticeable drop in it. If memory serves the drop is right around 2 inches.

Let me get woke up and some coffee in me this morning and I will measure my center link for you cool breeze

Me and a buddie put a V-8 in valerie(his 65 valiant)I made rectangular shims fro 1/4 inch steel to match the bottom of the engine mounts and installed them, you can't notice them and now have no clearance problem

I have a 66 sedan / and I just came in from putting a tape measure on it.
It just has a 1'' drop.
I have old motor mounts 8)and I still have 1'' of clearance.
I hope this helps.

I dug thru a pile of parts I got with the car and WOW, I found one. The one on my car has a 1" drop and this one has a 2" drop. Thanks for all the input, all the help will make my fix a lot easiler. I have to remove the old one to change my leaky oil pan so the problem should be corrected by this weekend.
