Vinyl Top Questions

I'm thinking about having a full vinyl top installed on my 74 Duster. It currently does not have a vinyl top.

1. Do the windshield and rear glass have to come out to install the vinyl top?
2. Are the bright moldings for the windshield and rear glass the same for cars with and without a vinyl top?
3. Are the bright drip rail moldings the same for cars with and without a vinyl top?
4. What is the best type of shop for getting a vinyl top installed? I live near Northern Virginia.

In answer to #4 we have a few shops up here in Michigan that install vinyl top's and they are all seat cover shop's as a matter of fact one of them in Pontiac Michigan is called Seat Cover King the others are just upholstery shop's. Hope this helps out.

I don't know if you want to go all the way to Annapolis, but Bay Country is a pretty good upholstery shop. He does cars and boats. I was going to have him replace my seat cover but he convinced me I could do it myself, and he was right. Saved me a couple hundred dollars and gave me the satisfaction of accomplishment.
