Want plasma cutter, but no power hookup

I am gonna get a gas generator, as I could use it elsewhere as well.
Thanks for all the input and help.

I think you'll find you could buy a LOT of wire for the price of a generator and gas!!

Ya, I was thinking 8 gauage myself, walking to a co-worker who used to be a welder before getting into IT, he thinks 8 is bit over kill, 10 would prob be better.
Eitherway, I think this is my only option right now.

LOL ....talk about overkill....I needed a 30 ft. 220V extension cord for my welder and priced 8 and 10 ga wire at Lowes and that changed my mind quick.....I got a 30 foot piece of SJO wire from work they were throwing out for FREE! So I just had to buy the plug ends for it.....Only problem was it was 4 gauge!:tongue9: Yeah, talk about overkill....I had to trim the copper strands some because I couldn't even get them in under the screws on the terminal block of a 50AMP plug....LOL....but hey if its free, its for me....I know that it will certainly carry the amp load, for sure
