Water pump nipples

i ordered new nipples for my new water pump, and the seller sent me four nipples to fit my SB 273. The two small ones fit; however, the larger one was way too small. When I called, he suggested that I have a post 1970 water pump. I did not want to argue the point because I am not sure how designs go with repros.

Anyway, can anyone tell me the width of the larger hole on a post 1970 water pump. I want to see if it matches the protection sleeve that came with my water pump. He says he has one that is about 1", and it fits post 1970 pumps. But I do not want to spend the money until we get it right.

Anyone have any luck getting these locally?

I read something about 4 nipples.

Here's the bypass (1") and heater hose nipples, so the one inch one he spoke of was correct for the bypass.

FYI, I use barbed brass fittings instead of expensive plated "racing" parts.
