okay guys don't laugh
I went to the track today and ran the 1/8 mile with my stock 273, 450 cfm Holley and 391 gears. I ran best time of 9.96 ET. 78.60 MPH :sad2:

can anyone tell me what that would equate to in the 1/4 mile .

I'm hoping to have a 600 cfm Holley on by my next showing, that should be good for a few tenths

Your MPH looks rite on track for a High 13- low 14. I ran a 13.148 at 102.26 and my 1/8 MPH was at 81.46

But this is all just a guess. That car moves for what it is!!!

well a 9.51 72.2 in the 1/8 in my 318 scamp, comes to a 14.96 89.78.
So im saying 15.50's?
i just have headers and a 318 edel intake, stock roller cam ('89), 3.91 suregrip 8.75, and with my girl in the passenger seat:)

hope this helps!

should come to about mid 15s. Sorry but low14s/high13s are far off...Still isnt doing bad for what it is.

I used this chart in comparison to my timeslip from my last run.

My 1/8th on the timeslip was 9.23, 1/4 was 14.39

9.23ish on that chart comes out my 1/4 time prettyyyy darn close.

thanks for the info. guys
I'm planning one more trip to the track before tearing the car apart for paint, I think the 450 cfm Holley isn't big enough I'm going to try a bigger carb 600 cfm vacum secondary, this should improve my dismal 2.30 60 ft times

Zhandful
I went to Perris fair grounds 1/8 mile track, nice track, very short shut down.
you have to get on the brakes as soon as you get to the finish line.
yesterday, the first car down the track hit the tires at the end

I haven't been there yet, I'll have to check it out I go to Irwindale on Thursday nights sometimes. Its also a 1/8 mile with a somewhat short shutdown area!
