What color block? What kinds of paint?

When I was younger, I liked all the factory colors. I did paint my early Hemi Chrysler blue to be different. But I like black. The 383 I am hopefully going to build for the Coronet is gonna be black with silver intake and valve covers. It's a simple, classic look not a lot can go wrong with.
Oh and regarding the type of paint. Some of the absolute BEST engines I have ever seen were painted with regular automotive paint. If it's applied right it will last a long time.
