What colour is the highbeam light?

I have had a couple of dashes in my cars and they were always blue now I have a red one is that normal?

I remember my dad's 67 Barracuda was red, back in the day when I first started driving it. As far as I know his 73 GMC van was blue I think. I know the 75 Cordoba they had was blue. I think. :-D

I have a 73 duster which is blue, also have a 73 valiant which is red. Don't know why the difference, but i know the the duster was a late-year model. so, i guess they changed them then?

Yep I would say you had one to many! ;)

The post is about what color the high beam indicator in the dash is and everyone has posted the color of theirs.

BTW, my 68 Barracuda has a red lens with "HIGH BEAM" in the middle that shows up black against the red lens.

highbeam indicater lens is red in most older mopars and blue in Ford and GM.
Old chevys had the bow tie shape lens that lighted blue.

I think red was pretty common until they realized how many men have color blindness and red is one of the harder colors for them to see.

Think the 74 Caddy is Blue, been a long time since I seen it.........LOL car has been stored at friends for the past year, not driven al all in the past year
