Just brought home my high performance 340 for my 69 Cuda notchback.
What do you all think the best distributor system would be for it?
Chim in if ya want.

(it's high performance....but not what you would call a "stroker", should be about 325 hp. )

Thanks.

Just recurve a stock unit. Theres not going to be any power difference between a stock unit and a $300 MSD

A stock electronic ignition would be fine. Stay away from the FBO crap!

If you want a rev limiter then you can get a good MSD or Summit ignition from Summit Racing.

I put a Mallory system on my race car many years ago and basically haven't touched it, beside a loose distributor/box connector and regular cap/rotor mantenance.
It's a Mallory VI-AL analog w/rev limiter, 3257911 full mechanical distributor and Mallory (forgot #) coil. But they have a good variety of other stuff to choose from as well that would fit your hi-po street application.

I don't remember the model, I'm using an Accel "stock look alike." While it has the Mallory YF style adjustable mechanical advance, takes all factory replacement parts, including cap, rotor, vacuum can, and pickup coil and reluctor.

These of course were made for Mopar ECU, but I use mine to trigger an GM HEI module.
