what exhaust manifolds do I have?

I was grabbing a set of disc brakes/ with a arms and decoded the vin to be a 69 Dart Custom w/a 383 2 barrel. So I pulled the exhaust manifolds and to make sure what I got I looked up casting numbers, I do not see them. The numbers are 3830905 8-15-74 drivers and 3830834. Now I'm not sure if it is a BB, I looked at the motor and the number on the drivers side is 4006730-31_. There were 2 race seats and no back seats, looked like it was a drag car before going to the pick a parts. I hope this is not a SB exhaust but it defenantly fit in the a body correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

when you looked at the engine, was the distributor on the front of the block or on the back?

According to http://www.mopar1.us/casting.html casting number 4006730 is a 1976-1984 5.2 engine. That would make sense if the distributor was in the rear of the engine.

yep that's a small block if it had the distributor in the back. The number you posted (4006730-31_) that last number is probably an 8. Looks like it has a 318 small block.

There never was a '69 Dart Custom factory built with a 383, never mind the 2 bbl carb. All factory 383 BB Darts in '69 would be GTS's, 4 barrels, and the dizzy would be in the front ,if it was a BB. Small block dizzy's in the back of the block.

Shore did...but not a Custom, and not a '69, and Definitely NOT a 4 door!
