What insulation above a hardbard headliner?

The 74 Scamp has a hard headliner. "I think" it had some thin fiberglas up there. I'd really rather not argue with that irritating stuff. How about some foam, seems like I've seen thing roll flexible foam? That is the small cellular stuff like "packing?"
 
Noico. 1/4” thick adhesive foam insulation. Sticks well on a clean surface. I tried to remove some,heating backside of sheet metal. It wont release with heat.
 
They mention butyl? Is that stuff "heavy? I was even thinking, even tho glass, some adhesive backed duct insulation.
 
Some butyl will give off odour, and for the $1 a square foot or whatever i think i would spring for something made for this.

Yeh, I meant that I read something about the brand you posted had butyl. I did not want anything "very heavy."
 
I used Kilmat. Heavy? Maybe so I guess but it's not like it's comin off. lol
