What lube for a manual steering box?

exactlly what my title says what lube you guys use for your manual steering boxes! talking about OEM ones!
 
Hi 1515, Great question, sorry I am not adding anything worthy. It seems my manual box has no fluid or grease, as water dripped out the lower seal when I mounted it, so I am eager to hear..
 
i was thinking on grab a cooking seasoning seringe and make a mix of GL5 and chassi grease to make a thick melasas type lube and inject it in it tru the grease bolt on top, what you think about that guys?
 
Running it dry will kill it quick, in my old demon i did fill it with GL5 back then but i want to hear something else to grab som ideas, i just step my first idea how about some experienced guys to shime in!
 
I didn't know what to use, I tried some Lucas tranny fluid. Seemed to leak out a bunch but I not sure how much to put in.
 
Hi, it seems the seals are not designed for thin fluids? I may pull the top off mine with the 4 bolts and pack it with bearing grease..
