Hey guys I have yet to upgrade the rear suspension on my 71 duster. It still has garbage airshocks that came with the car when I bought it.
I've already installed 2" lowering blocks, and as of right now has a great ride height (with zero air in the rear shocks).
But I am going to be upgrading to caltracs with -1 split mono leafs eventually

I'm obviously going to be tossing the air shocks for some qa1s or another brand of adjustable shocks, but now that the car is lowered, what length of shock would I be looking at getting.

Just seeing if anyone has already gone threw this and what worked best for them.
Thanks guys.

Ps. The car has been mini tubbed with spring relocate

Step 1 (for me)

Eye to eye (shock) measurement at your desired ride height

FWIW:Shock measurements can be found at Monroe shocks online, or the back of a Monroe shock catalog.

I've gotten the duster all together and my shock length at ride height is 15", but I'm having trouble finding a shock that has a compression length less then 14.5".
