Finally getting the car sorted, but looking for ideas on what to expect and improvements on the combination.

Mainly a street cruiser but would love to hear tips to get it to turn respectable times at the track. I might swap in a 3.90 spool for racing. Fun car as is, just looking to learn.

Rear gear is going to hurt. What is stall speed? Would be great with 3.91 and 3500+ stall. Would prob go low 12's high 11's

Thanks! That's about what I woild expect, too.
Would like to find out the path to about 11.60. (no cage) and I would be done.

"Just" a 3.90? I think a 4.30 would really walk the dog in that.

With traction , mid 12's @107mph . With a 4.10 gear low to mid 12's . It would make a great 12'50 second pro-index car .

12.9-13.2 with 3,9 s
I ran low 13's with 3.23, mild 360 (.455 lift/268/276 adv. dur. and cast heads) with same tires, and weight of car. He'll do much better. Even with 3.23's, I guess 12.30's at 106 mph. He might have too much cam for the gear....

not sure on that ,anyway time will tell what is weight with driver ? converter may go 3000 comp a little low with the alloys .when are you doing a pass in it ? knuckle

Hopefully this weekend. Have only run it once and it was breaking up at about 4000rpm in 2nd, but it cleared up in 3rd and ran a best of 14.4 at @101mph.
Judging by the time I lost, I am hoping for mid 12's now that the issue is resolved. Sounds like that shouldn't be too far off going by the estimates you guys are giving. Will post results when I get them. Thanks!
