Hi everyone.

I hate to say that I have no clue what trans I have in my car.

1968 Valiant 225 automatic.

Was there only one choice? If not what else could it be? Where does it say on the trans itself?

Thanks.

You have to look at the pan

Thanks you guys. This should be easy enough to figure out.

Now, you could have a TUG. Better known as a GSE towing vehicle. I used one all the time towing aircraft. (1971)it had a slant six with the 727. It was a rocket ship up to about 18 MPH.(Governor) But it sure could pull a lot of Heavies.Lol

Our bag tugs at work have flat head Chrysler 6 cylinders and some sort of 1 or 2 speed automatics. Some of the really old ones are stick shift. The jet tugs are Detroit diesels...

I should clarify in fairness to all the guys who towed real heavies, my world of Heavies was a heavily loaded Huey or HH-53 Sikorsky! HAHA
