My car is a '73 Scamp. Has 7 1/4 rear end now, just picked up an 8 3/4 last night. I want to run 15x8 rallye wheels w/245/60/15 for now. I have a 3' re-location kit also, what back space is needed for 15x8 rim? I also plan to run 15x10 rallye wheels later on w/a 275/60/16 or 275/50/15.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I've been messuring twice, I have yet to make or start any cuts to car/wheel house or anywhere till I have more info.
Thanks in advance......

Mark

I think most guys are running 4.5" bs. with the spring relo kit you can use much deeper bs with normal width 8 3/4.

I think the Dart wheelwells are a little smaller than the B`cudas but I was able to run a 15 x 8 w/4.25 backspace on my Cuda without problems and that was witha 275/60. My Dart seems to have the wheelwell filled with a 15 x 7 w/4.00 backspace running a 255/60 tire. This is with the springs in the stock location. Fact is these cars are all of smidgen different and some can run up to 275/60`s without a problem while others can`t. With stock spring locations I would figure backspacing in the 4-4.5 range and perhaps more once you get the springs relocated.

I spoke w/Summit Racing. I was told a 15x8 rim wil work w/a 4.5 back space.
I messured what is needed, after this weekend of fun, I hope my math is correct. I'll be using a 245/60 also vs. anything bigger, for now.
Thanks.....Mark
