Wheel stud question

I have an 8 3/4 rear end running sbp axles with 15 x 8 wheels . I don't like the 1 1/2" long factory studs . Now if I've read correctly the factory studs have .472 knurl and I think Dorman has a 1 3/4" stud with a .475 knurl . Will the .475 studs work without modifying the axle flanges ?

You are only talking .003" so they should go in the flange. If not, can clean the hole with rat tail file, it will clean the hole enough to fit the stud. Just use light passes.
