Hello all. I'm looking for help on the correct size of wheels to buy. I have a 1970 duster that I believe is a 5 lug on 4.5 bolt pattern. I could be saying that wrong so please bear with me, still new to all of this. I also believe that it has an 8.25 rear end. Purchasing the wheels and new gears is my next project.

I'd go with .

5x7 wheel and 225/60/15 tire up front
5x8 wheel and 265/60/15 tire on rear

Take it easy! Good luck <--- press my avatar to get an idea of wheels on mine. Above is what I have

If it's a '70 Duster it would have a 5x4" pattern (SBP) from the factory, so confirm that before you buy anything. If it has an 8.25" rear axle it's definitely possible that someone already converted it to 5x4.5" (BBP).

As for wheels, what are you looking for? Going to stay with 15" rims? 17/18"? Bigger? What's the intended use of the car? Drag, autoX, road race, street cruiser, daily driver?
