where is a good place to start looking for grounds for the inside of the car like dash and stuff?

The instrument cluster is screwed to the dash frame which is bolted to the lower windshield area and on each side of the frame. That's the ground for the dash components. Courtesy lights are grounded through the door switches. Radio has a solid metal brace from the radio to the either the dash or underside of the cowl and that's the ground for the radio. The heater has a long wire that snakes behind the right kick panel and is screwed to the metal behind the kick panel - ground for the heater. Hope this helps

i like to run actual ground wires. on the wagon, i ran all my grounds to a terminal strip, then ran one big ground wire (8 awg) to the battery. it cant hurt it. less resistance is better.

There is usually a ground thatgoes on one of the studs that stich down that u bolt your column up to.
