There is a Lady on www.bigblockdart.com PinkE, that does it for half of that. Here is a pic of a steering wheel that was redone. Her business is called Pinke's Woodgrain Steering Wheel Restorations, go over there and PM her.
Of course the price would depend on how many cracks in your wheel, but all the guys over there get her to do all their wood grain stuff from dashes to shifter handles.

I redid my own once, it's easy to fix the cracks (PC7 or plumbers epoxy, then Dremel it down and sand by hand) but the finish coat is what's important. I used a Marine urethane sprayed on but it got sticky in the sun and I had to change my wheel eventually. I'll have to redo it with some other more stable finish.
