Ok...if the left blinker works, the gas gauge dosn't, when the gas gauge works the left blinker dosn't, the dash lights used to work but quit, and all the fuses are good. Anybody able to point me to where I should start looking? Oh yeah...72 Valiant

Is it the dash indicator that doesn't work, or the turn signals themselves? My first thought is that this is all in the cluster

You have a shop manual? Since you have a 72, you can download one right here on this site:

I know this is going to sound crazy but my brother and I chased a similar gremlin in his 69 Barracuda for over a year including replacing the under dash wiring harness with no success. In the end it was a bad turn signal switch in the column.

I'm gonna take a wild guess. Female connectors in the instrument panel harness connector loose on the male pins. One or the other makes contact but not both at the same time. Just a guess.

I agree with Redfish but you may also want to pop the instrument out and have a look at all the pins and connectors. After 40+ years they tend to come loose and circuits paths open up.

Ok, I guess I'll start w/ all the connections...hope I don't make things worse...

bad ground and bad contact area on the spades in the fuse block is what did that to mine. I ran a sanding or wire wheel on my dremel to all the fuse block spades. They didnt look too bad, but it actually solved alot of my electrical problems. akes 5 minutes- it may surprise you. My sending unit didnt work and my turn signals were all screwed. Did that and they worked. Use the wheel on all the pins on dash cluster also and clean circuit board contacts and grounding spots. 10-1 all that should fix it.
