I recognize it from my scrap bin. I believe it's a heat shield.

Yep. On my cars, if a part doesn't have a better purpose than that, it's turned to scrap.

If I remember correctly, I believe it was under the car near the catalytic converter on my 75 Dart Sport.

Bolts to the bottom of left side frame rail. Otherwise known as a starter shield for automatic trans cars.

Yes than you I found it! I actually put the three factory fasteners back in the holes lol!
