My autometer tach has seemed to quit working, but I am not sure if it is the tach itself or the MSD that sends the tach signal. Is there a voltage range to check for coming out of the MSD where the tach wire goes? Or should I be concentrating on the tachometer? Any help is appreciated.

If the car runs it's probably the tach, because the output signal for a tach is really basic.
You are a little to far away to borrow my spare. :D

You might make sure it isn't a power loss to the tach first.

Most likely the tach. Even though they claim tach adapter is not needed with an autometer. MSD's are notorious for early tach death.
If you have another classic vehicle hook tach up to it for confirmation.
