74 duster race car. 470 stroker. 655hp. 617 Tq. 1/2 block fill. Runs 10.40s. Would also like to run electric fans and w/p. Factory rad is 26 inch. Thanks. Kim
I don't know there's a cat that's got a thread on one of those Griffin's right now LOL he paid $1,200 for it and has done all kinds of modifications and still can't get it down below 210. Just sayin... Same problem I got with my stock one LOL"Some kind" of Griffin. Over and done with.

I think it's more a matter of volume and Flow then amount of money spent.
Agreed, $1,200 I would damn near expected to deflect bullets!I`ve posted this before, but I`ve got a 28x19 griffin crossflow in my 68 fastback. I was trying to change the position of the car, while the front end was on a floor jack, (a couple of yrs. ago), and the front fell of, bending my front valance and the griffin rad. up about 1 1/2" in the center. I fixed and repainted the valance, the rad. didn`t , and hasn`t leaked. I have pics of it on my cell phone if anyone wants to see them for proof, and the rad. is still in the car and working fine ---no leaks !
They are very well made!

I paid $280 something for mine to start with, another $65 for an alum. shroud from summit. I highly reworked the shroud to split in the middle like a 88-92 gm pick up, so I can pull the top off to change the fan, or what ever . Also had to put a raised hump in the top for fan . Have to run a short mopar filter because of the shroud tho.Agreed, $1,200 I would damn near expected to deflect bullets!
I wouldn`t pay $1200 for any rad. , even if it was gold plated !I paid $280 something for mine to start with, another $65 for an alum. shroud from summit. THAT makes one hell of a lot more sense.I paid $280 something for mine to start with, another $65 for an alum. shroud from summit. What's the most expensive lower radiator hose? After searching the internet, I caint even FIND a 1200 dollar radiator that aint for a Freightliner or some such.
He obviously has another problem.
...1/2 block fill....
Kim, I`ve got two 14" elec , ceramic ball bearing fans for sale if ur interested. They are still wired to a relay that will handle both of them. It’s just a track car. With the factory 26 in 2 core rad it works fine with a declutching fan, no shroud. I want to change to electric fan and water pump. Kim
