the one where you drill a hole in the ex pipe & clamp the rounded thin flat metal with a welded on bung around the ex pipe. thank you for your time. RR

after more thought if I just have a bung welded in to the pipe do I screw a bolt into it to keep it from going out of round from the heat? & I understand you want the AFR sender tip in the pipe to be pointing down a bit??

I have welded in two. Never threaded anything in them. Yes, the tip of the sensor should be lower than any other part of the sensor. So water will drain out and not back into it.

OK I will have the tip lower. One time a guy welded in a larger than this bung into the oil pan (class rules for crank inspection) & afterward the plug would not fit

I've welded them too, I put a plug, bolt or old sensor in to prevent splatter from getting on the threads. This was MIG welding them in.
