He also played the new and young doctor in a episode of the Andy Griffith show. I've wondered if he auditioned for a doctors roll on MASH. He played that priest part very well.

R.I.P. William Christopher.
My wife and I had the privilege of seeing him and Jamie Farr on stage in the play The Old Couple. Farr as Oscar Madison and Christopher as Felix Unger. They where both great.
