Hey guys, I took the windshield and back glass out of my duster and now I have this black leftover "glue" type crap stuck to the metal. What is the best way to get that stuff off?

Stiff putty knife for the bigger stuff, lacquer thinner, or another good solvent for the leftovers

To quote the Plymouth-Chrysler-Imperial Passenger Car 1971 Body Service Manual:
"All old adhesive should be removed from glass and opening reveal using a putty knife or razor blade. DO NOT use an oil base solvent to remove adhesive."
Thats what it says!!

A heat gun will soften the big stuff but be carefull so you dont damage headlinner, etc.. Ford dealership had a product called Acrysol (acrylic solvent) that worked a little better than charcoal starter fluid.

Thanks guys, I'll try those ideas. The old wire brush on a drill wasn't working very well at all. I don't have to worry about the headliner or anything because everything except the suspention has been removed. 8)
