Wire connector on steering column

Hi everybody:

We're having a problem..my brother and I getting the wires out of this connector. Is there a tool I could buy or a straw I could stick in there? It's kind of hard to see witch way that tang goes??

There is a tool Lisle makes I think, it is a hex with six different removal tools built in, never failed me yet.

I put the wrong one up and I have two of those tools...but maybe he has it off by now because I took those over to his place last night..This is the one that's giving him all the trouble

I'll go over and see what's up...As soon as I got these parts he was ...BRING M OVER!!! lol
 
They can be a bugger. That little dog ear that keeps the connecter in place sometimes doesn't want to back off. I use a dental tool. I can get in push the keeper down and pull connecter out.

He was saying once he got one and figured it out ...they all came much easier.
