Wiring Harness Pics

I am ready to pull the trigger on a wiring harness (AAWHighway 15 Complete Universal Street Rod Wiring Kit), I think it will be plenty for my build.

My original engine bay wires looks like they are wrapped in electrical tape, or some type of plastic and not cloth like the rear loom.

What did you do in the engine compartment to wrap the wires? Please post your pics! Did you mount headlamp relays up front or do anything special I would like to hear and see.

year one sells the correct electrical tape. it isnt sticky. but it clings to itself. thats what i used to wrap my wiring. i personally think anything else looks cheesy.

actually if you back out one notch you get all the sleeve options..

I bought the spark plug boot sleeves for a 440. Quite great.

I used the painless powerbraid. Looks great. nice and neat.

I just made an engine/headlight harness and used high temp shrink-tubing. It looks ok but I wish I went with something a little nicer in the links above.

Oh.. you can get it quite a bit cheaper, though, from an electronic supplier like Waytek.

figured it gave me the best protection. and if i really need to add something down the road it shouldn't be difficult to do.

Lots of great ideas here, I like the option of being able to go back into the harness if needed. I found some braided sleeving that looks pretty good, just don't know how well it stays together. http://www.delcity.net/store/Braided-Sleeving/p_793122.a_1

LMC truck has a headlight relay harness (P/N 36-3580) at a very good price and It's easy to adapt to any harness. I agree with Slantscamp, the Year One harness wrap (P/N HWRAP) gives a great OEM look.

Again, that's the same stuff Waytek sells. Works great and you can add or repair wires easily.
