WIW question SB heads ?

Just wondering what a nice set of well ported 587 heads are worth ?
MP 2.02/1.60 valves
Flow 260/173 at .600 lift
bronze guides and hardened exhaust seats
Crower dual springs
Comp 10deg retainers and machined locks
60cc chambers
Built by Dwayne Porter of Porter Racing Heads (Fast68Plymouth on Moparts)

My motor made 480hp with them and went 11.60 @117mph in a 3600lb car.

Unfortunately, with ede's out now the market for these animals has died.

If you could get $400 for them, take it and run. Even though there is likely more dollars invested in them.

As a side note. I have a set of ported J head (915) available to me with isky ductile rockers, springs/retainers, good shaft, LD340 for around $500.

I would have to agree that they would be worth about $500.00 as you can only get about .50 on the $ for performance work after it has been used. But they are a good bit better than the Eddy's that I've seen out of the box, on flow on the intake side, so $500.00-$600.00 would be a good deal.
I can see from the flow #'s that you posted that theres a good bit left in them for flow. Were getting 285-290 on the intake and 210-215 on the exhaust with those valve sizes. So Dwayne has left some on the table for improvement, but don't know if he did this intentionally or not.
