Would a 66/67 B-Body Steering wheel fit a 72 A-Body?

I am in the market for a wheel and I like how they look. Let me know before I do something foolish.

I think the center hub would be smaller than the later wheels. Your column has a larger diameter housing due to the ignition switch located in it..

I've never understood why the mfgrs felt they needed to change the spline diameter/count so often but... Cross referencing the adapter hubs needed for the aftermarket steering wheels may provide some insight or clues as to what will and wont fit.
I dont think the ignition switch being in the column makes a difference in column collar diameters though. A,B,C columns may be different diameters.
