I decided to swap my 4.10's/Detroit locker out for my 3.23 sure grip set in my 70 so that I could go the track tomorrow. First two of my 3" Moroso studs sheared off (even though I've had them off recently), then while pressing the busted studs out the axle flange bent. Deciding to press on I somehow managed to cross thread the drain plug in the housing despite starting it by hand. Now I have to buy new axles I don't have money for and I gotta figure out what to do with my housing.

Weird string of bad luck everyone seems to be having..... Like Mike says, it'll get better.

That sucks, man. With all the bad luck around, I ought to stay home tomorrow and drink beer:drinkers:

Woohoo post #440

Anybody want to buy a good driver's side Yukon axle with studs in it? :p

For the life of me I can't figure out how the axle flange bent before the broken stud popped out. I "thought" I had it supported well enough.

Oh yeah, who would you go with for new axles? Moser or Strange?
