OK, today I was trying to help a buddy get his no-name chinese scooter running...
scene: 2 guys working on a chinese scooter and a 20yr old stoner kid coming down the sidewalk:
KID: "Hey, what's up?"
ME: "We're trying to get this scooter running. It's got real feeble spark."
KID: "I work at NAPA, I've seen a lot a people spend money on the wrong parts. I think it's this wire here."
ME: "Dude, that's the throttle cable."
KID: "Did you check the other end?"
ME: "Yeah...it's still the throttle cable.":violent1:

Sad part is I think I've had that conversation....
At least once a week.

Granted, I'm no expert, and electronics baffle me...so over the years I have learned my lesson about giving advice on sublects I'm less than familiar with...
