Has anyone else been to a belly dancing show? This was a new experience and I didn't take the camera but it was fun. These are some of the pictures of the dancers that preformed.

Personally I prefer topless dancing. Its a truly American art form, they say every jiggle of the girls hooters tells a story.

If I had taken the camera there were some shots that were pretty revealing (beads) but then I couldn't have posted them in the general forum.

I though the correct name was "Bali Dancing" you know as in Bali, Indonesia? I think somehow it got morphed into belly dancing for obvious reasons. I could be mistaken.

But yeah whatever it is, it's cool. You'd have to be on the other side of gay not to like it.

I didn't even know that there was such a place. Instantly I thought of the Star Trek "To boldly go, where no one as gone before." Sorry, but that is one mission I choose NOT to accept!

You wouldn't want to go see belly dancers here. I'm not saying they're bad, but the last time I saw that many rolls go dancing around, I was at Lambert's in Sikeston, MO!

If I can't see her kidneys while she's bent over a pole than it's not for me and my 7 single$.

Have I been to a belly dance show? I'm Middle Eastern, there's one at every party... :p

the belly dancing can be an art ...but where im from that would never happen in public ......we are not even supposed to show belly in public ....that's only for behind closed doors for husbands only .....unless she is a prostitute.

here is the US the whole thing has been skewed and re-interpreted from its original form to suit western promiscuity ......so no I would never attend one here .....its like taco bell ......they say its real but......no, its not authentic....but its fun for you guys

Didn't go to one for the show, per se, but I voted yes, because I've been to Mataam Fez, which is a really bitchin joint. They have really nice dancers who put on a fun show, between courses and do cool things, like trick tea pouring. You go in, take your shoes off, sit on pillows, tapestry everywhere and they serve multiple courses of different Moroccan dishes and desserts.

I'd suggest it to anyone in the Denver metro area. Fantastic food.

Keith, no choice....(lol).

I am SO glad I do not live there! My wife just got home from work...it's hot (90+) today, and she wore a halter top and shorts. Excuse me, I need to log off now! :glasses7:

when I was a kid, me and my brother had a belly dancer as a baby sitter. Wow, I was only 4 or 5 years old, but I remember it vividly.
of course that was in the 1960's, before the days of political correctness.
sorry, no pictures to share.

Belly dancing is a real art and requires a lot of flexibility. The girl that was able to dance, go all the way down to sitting on the floor and get back up dancing while balancing a large sword on her head was something.

I haven't been to Lambert's in Sikeston since I was a teenager....:)

There's a girl at work that does belly dancing....it's not a sight I want to see again. :)

There is a Belly show at every Mopar gathering that I have attended.
Too bad it is mostly MEN and they have large BELLYs. I'm on my way to becoming one of them...
