Show me your pro-touring Duster

-
My Duster isn't a pro-touring anything, but I've been saving pictures of pro-touring A-Bodies for some time. Unfortunately, it seems that a pro-touring Duster are few and far between. Here is what I have, most of them from this site.

i put a set of racing seats and harnesses in side,2" drop spindles,i made custom blocks for the back and some bullitt wheels. the steering box is at Firm Feel right now getting tightened up. i have the big swaybars from them already and plan to get their upper arms at the end of the summer. my plan is to get it to handle as good as my '07 srt magnum!

Just my .02,
My definition of pro-touring is one that is set up for high 'G's and hard driving. It doesn't have to have a big motor, Just handle well through the challenges of a road course. Now looking the part and being able to burn rubber while doing 30 not a bad idea either.
I know you guys have seen some of my build, and pro touring is where I'm going but you need to check out RJ's pro touring Demon build also. He has a very serious build going.
I have included my favorite pic to date, without the grill and headlights is a very mean look.

Like something straight outta "The Road Warrior", me like it a lot!

Hey DionR would you happen to have any more pics of the primer-black one with all the decals (2009 Leadfoot Rally)? I don't know about you guys but that color looks FANTASTIC with the wide tires and lowered stance. Imagine that with a partially-blacked-out sharktooth grille on a '70-72... :snakeman::snakeman::love7::love7::love7:

Mike,
Thanks for the compliment.
I notice you are at the start of your MoPar sickness. What ever you want to do to your car, or in life, make a plan and write it down. It may not seem obtainable now, dont worry, just hold onto the dream and the plan. If you do that, you will get er done.
I still have the interior drawings from the late 70s I did for the car. Nothing has really changed except the availability of some of the pieces, now I can buy them instead of having to make them.
Making the car look mean, and having it very low and as aerodynamic as as one can make a duster was always in the original plan.
Check out my build thread on the Restorations page called; Birth of the Blue Missile.

HOLY ****... that car is 20 minutes away from where I live!!! Guess I'll have to pay a visit to Andrews Racing Transmissions sometime soon.

"Blackbetty" is building a serious car along the lines of whats posted here! He is doing an excellent job of building a super clean ride.

The paint scheme on Kenny's car is sweet! I love the lines on it.

Hey just a heads up for you pro touring guys, there is a site strictly for Pro Touring Mopars.

I just joined this morning. Is small stilll, but the potential for great ideas is there!
Here is a link.

The "pro Touring" scene for mopar is a fairly small crowd. I wonder how well the site will do. Im diggin it. Its making me wanna get some 17's a bit sooner!

you know what's funny? i had some mild bodywork done, and that is how it turned out! lol! i am going to have it stipped sorta like a 340 stipe and leave it. thanks for the compliments!

that actually looks pretty cool, like the flat black hood treatment, only taken a little farther.

I am getting Torque Thrust 18x10 and 295's in the back and 17x8's in the front for my mini tubbed 73 duster. I will be getting some big sways front and rear too. I will post pics when I get them on.

Have my Sister in law working on my car (Photo shopped), Im having her do the "arrow shape" on the side in blue, the rest will be Gun Metal silver, and the hood and scoop will be blacked out. That and she working on the wheels to be like I plan to paint them. I have my Cragar SS rims that were too far gone and have been powder coated black. I plan to paint the "rim" Gun Metal and then leave the 5 spokes black. I may have her lower it a tad too. Ill be sure to post the pic when I get it. I think Ill find several dif. wheels for her to swap in also.

At a glance I think yes, definitely!!
more pics and details please.

Wow, how did you dig up this old thread, LOL!!
