A lot of my friends and I are into Electronica and house dance music and lately they have been having a ton of Christmas parties (santa hat required) and it seems there is more going on this year than in years past.

I am really lazy about dressing up for the event but once im all made up and ready to go I usually have a blast. I do like the loud music and the bass that shakes the room and the lights and fog.

usually we dress up with glitter make up and Led lights so it makes a cool effect in the dark with the DJ lights.

Anyone else having any mega parties this year? I went to a real nice party last night....and there are a bunch more coming up.

talk about a workout from all the dancing. :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Looks like a flashback from the 1980s.
 
we went to our church party, yes i said church party, lots of good company but no dacing for me, they just refused my back two and a half weeks ago. enjoy the Holiday and Merry Christmas Rani
 
Can't dance & no rhythm! Not a party person. Very happy for you though, sounds like good times and current music is a must!!!
 
Went to my Take Kwon Do party last night. No dancing just food , booze and good music with good conversation.
And where are the pictures of you " made up "?

Too bad everyone I know broke up over the past 2 months and everyone is all weird, now.
 
We used to listen too the band The CARS, "Moving in Stereo", to strobes and colored light shows like that, of course, back in the day........
On a newer note, Rani, enjoy the holiday season, and all it has to offer!

The Cars,were fun. The deal ,is remix over recent music hits. Some the new stuff connects energy wise. For me,some good remixed funk,with a good base line(showing my age...) Wanna go fast? Gimme two good guitarists,
and a well written song...

you got the right idea ....Benny Benassi has some really nice remixes but that one starts out a bit too hip hoppy....and usually the faster the better and more "dirty electro" as they call it or even some milder stuff like Skrilex

haha cute! I like the original by Public Enemy to (that why it has the ORIGINAL hip hop sounds rani!). Also bomber i used to have a pair of P2 10's RF tech woofers in a bandpass box, would open the trunk on the 73 lol

im more into house, trance and the like, never got into the dubstep/skrilex "style". I thought when Korn had them on it killed a couple really good songs like Cannibal.

cool.....a bit slow but if any of this was played at my parties ....I dig it...I have heard of Tiesto and ATB before

you must like the beastie boys ....they have that old run DMC hip hop sound here and there

yea its more of the original house style i like, not everything i listen to is slow or fast, just depends what i feel like. Lately ive been on a Korn, Avenged7fold, All that remains, etc kick...
 
For new tunes, my daughter just gave me a copy of the latest Arcade Fire album, Reflector. It is at the top of my list right now. Really good.
