So since I bought my car last February I've been wanting to make a few changes to make it my own. Tell me what u think.

This is what it looked like after first getting it and straightening out a few things.

And here is what it looks like now

The only down side is now it officially LOOKS faster than it is!

I like it. Looks like you're going for the A12 Road Runner look in an A body. Super cool.

I like it, it looks like it means business now. before it looked like it just had some 17" wheels slapped on it.

It looks good either way it is a very nice car... Did you rework the original hood or is that another hood??? What motor is in it??? Bill

Thanks Bill, it's a fiberglass hood I bought off cl. It was on a 68 dart. In fact the guy I bought the hood from bought my rims for his dads Challenger. And I'm running a 440, but its a mid 70's so its not super impressive.

sweet I like it ! takes me back to a better time. oldschool

That's a change ,for the better. Most people slap the 17"-18" inch wheels on a 60's-70's muscle car, think it's cool. Kills the original charm ,these cars came with. Looks bad ***, to me.

MUCH better now. I agree that some Cragars on the front might look real nice too.

Don't worry about it looking faster than it really is. Mine looks the same way"faster than it really is" for now anyway :) Currently has a 318 init, going to 380HP 360 this winter.:DBTW. I love what you did with it Jim

I would think that a 440 would be plentyfor that car... I have a 408 stroker in my Duster and it is all that I can handle esp. when it goes sideways. My reaction time has decreased over the years and I sometimes scare myself in a fun way.. These A bodies come around real quick... And small blocks wind up quick too... I'm glade to hear you didn't ruin the original hood.. The car is sweet either way bad assed or original...Bill:)

Nice, I like it. I put six pack hood scoops on a couple of my Darts in the past as well, I really like the look.

I think I like the Before pic better.

I've never been one for mismatched body parts on A bodies, though.

It's yours, so just enjoy it it as you like. it.

I like it,Looks like the 68 Super Stock Dart look. As for the bigger wheels, it makes the car look like a hot wheels car. Maybe that is the look people are after. I am running the original 14 inch Ralleys on my 70 Swinger and car guys I know are always telling me I need "more Tire" under it. But I am not racing it, just trying to cruise an old original looking car, so I like the original tire look.

I like it. Looks like it's ready for the dragstrip. Nice car btw.

A burnout picture would even be better. ;)

The personalization looks GREAT, but, that hood scoop, what for motor is it feeding air to to make it look faster then it is?

LOVE the red tho! and white deck stripe!

Very cool. I bet if you swapped in a 3.23 pig and got 38-40° of timing in as
as soon as possible in that 440, you would have a whole new appreciation
for it. Very cool car.

3.23? Are u talking gear ratio? I'm already running 3.91. As for the timing, that's a good idea, I was thinking of bumping it up a bit. Right now I think it's set to 32° around 3200 rpm, if I remember correctly. BTW, it is a 72 block with 76 heads, not likely much for compression..

Yeah, as long as you got a mild cam. It will pull that car real good.
3.23, 340 or 383 hi perf (2000 stall) converter. Save 3.90's for more souped up
motor.
