Why are there so few blown small blocks?

-
Thank you. You can keep the 50. Its more fun to break your balls and I'm gonna need all the help I can get.

Honestly my car is a street car. Its built to run stoplight to stoplight. So max power and ET arn't my game. I just wanna destroy everything that lines up next to me and out 60 foot em.

After the 60" - 120" I'm off the throttle anyways.

Glad to have you back.
Hope all is well in your camp.

Rusty, click on the link I put up and scroll down.
The fire power hemi is bad ***, and if I'm not mistaken you have one that needs the Dyers treatment.

:lol::poke::steering:

That would be badass. Mine though is sorat high compression for a blower. It came out at 9.2:1. I guess I could under drive it.

New head gaskets!
New cam, and about 4 grand, cut a hole in your hood and never have traction!

Its tax season! We could have five guys on the forum with blower whine..

Do it!

In my opinion, they all look better with a hole in the hood.

That's just my opinion tho.

I have a simple yet debatable answer.
Because turbo is better and more Affordable and companies are not gonna loose money on developing something the masses arent gonna buy!!

I think the lack of roots blown mopars has a lot more to do with the cars than the engines. To most people Mopars are muscle cars, plain and simple, 60's and 70's. Roots blowers are a rarity on any brand muscle car. Yeah there's a few, but very low percentage wise. The overwhelming majority of roots blowers are on old iron(rods, buckets, Willies, Anglias, tri-5's, etc), and very few of these cars have Mopar engines. I really think it's as simple as that.

Hell with that! Make him pay or hold his nuts to a white-hot torch and walk away!!!

Now the hole in the hood is my problem because I love it and I don't want it to ever go away. That's why I've always thought of dual quad nitrous!?
I really like the idea of a procharger because I don't have to keep buying more nitrous.

I wanted a blower bad and finally put enough parts together to install a Procharger on my 413ci smallblock. Before I started building I found a 6-71 complete kit and decided to buy that. It's a competition 6-71 on an Offenhauser manifold and a Hilborn bugcatcher hat injection. I'm using Lentz 6.2 rods, Large Port Commando heads and Racetec custom pistons. I'm running it on E85 with a compression ratio of 11.5. The engine is complete and I have started it several times. Still working with the injection to my satisfaction. Will have it on the track this year. I can hardly wait to see what it will do. It was a 6.32 car with 413 N/A configuration hoping for more than that..

WTH??? Why are we holding a white hot torch to my nuts??? I told him to PM me. Like I said, I could have handed you his money as I've been across the river from you for more than 2 weeks. Can't you see me waving at you???

BTW, does you wife know about this post??? I'm sure she'd be embarrassed about it.

You heard me, white-hot torch!
Are you seriously expecting me to drive over to Vancouver to collect for cope? I'd be fifty bucks in gas round trip to get the money...
I mean really what is your game? You go over to moparts and play mad scientist for 6 months, then come over here and play Yellow Rose for another 6 months?
You made the announcement "this will happen?" Even though I wasn't prepared at the time I was still making preparations when you personal messaged me and said you were going to be there on Saturday? I told you I really didn't have the money to do it but since I do what I say and say what I do I was going to come anyways... Then poof! You're gone without a word until now? Or though when one would look over a Moparts there you are technical advice and all...
Cope and I are always good, but I can tell you I'm not completely pleased with him letting you off the hook so damn easily especially the way you just drop everything and then just come back like nothing happened. I think both of us would be satisfied with a picture of a check written out to Doernbecher's or something... Honestly I don't see why Rusty Rat Rod or anybody takes any of your advice no matter how good it may seem especially when you act like, I don't mean to be saying this without you in front of me but not cool. You know I'm one not to call people names over the Internet because I think that's real chickenshit but gosh dang look at the way you've been acting..
how about a simple I'm sorry I wish I would have at least let everybody know I wasn't going to be able to make it this year and we could try again next year or maybe not at all. Leave people hanging with no word? Please don't give me the personal tragedy stuff especially when you're over on Moparts jabbering away...
and for the record I just ask my wife what she thinks of your shenanigans and she thinks you're a "goofball" was her exact words..

I've been looking around at blown (roots style) small blocks. Lots of chevys, some fords and almost zero (small block) MOPARs.

Why is that?

I realise that they are out dated tech and now days it's all about the twin turbo, procharger ect.

As far as I'm concerned, nothing is cooler than the sound of a old school blower and the look of that big belt.

Why is it that the small blocks almost never get treated to a cool old GMC hot air pump?

I put one on my small block dart. I’m doing some work to it at the moment, before I pull it out of the garage. But your right, u don’t see many small blocks with blowers on them.

Any info on that beast?

Did you buy the Dyers kit?

How did the the manifold look?
Did it clear the dizy?

Any pics of the manifold?

Dyers seems to play it close when it comes to their "in house" manifold.

I like it!

I have a feeling I'm gonna go broke, rebuild and destroy my fancy motor but ya only live once!

And I agree J par. I was raised to "do what you say and say what you do."

I did buy the kit. Everything fit up great no problems at all. It’s a mp electronic dist no clearance issues. I don’t have pics of the manifold sorry. As far as the Manifold, I hate to critique anyone’s welds as I’ve been under a hood my whole life. But u can’t see the manifold under the blower. I’ve been to a few car shows with it and mostly everyone is looking at the blower.

I own the quickest, ugliest car around.
