I wouldnt say i was a ford fan, but i do have a 54 victoria, and i did enjoy my 5.0 5sp fox. I do have a couple close friends who are ford lovers. Not everybody can be right in this world.

I've owned several older classic Fords. They have some neat cars..... and I'm a HUGE 289 fan.

If we're talking about fords we used to own, i had a big block 65 galaxie 500, black with red interior (sorry, no photos) and a Cobra Jet ranchero. The a12 i had at the same time would absolutely murder it, and it was a lousy tow vehicle too! The only photos of the cj428 are on vhs tape.

The thing I remember about old Ford's was, they weren't cheap to make fast. If they didn't come fast it wasn't cheap to make em fast. An example? 351 Cleveland, if it didn't have a 4 barrel, you couldn't just swap an intake, you needed intake, heads and cam...The two barrel had two barrel heads...silly int it?

A CJ 428 in a Ranchero? Talk about traction issues:steering:. Sign me up!
My '66 with the 289 4 spd was quite a handful in itself
Fill the gas tank before attending the illicit street activities on the remote roads of the desert

Mine was really weak. It would hook up on protracks,...... with a 3.25 one legger. (And a nodular and 31 axles, stock. Why oh why open?!?)
My girlfriend at the time, who'd never made a pass in her life, wasn't scared of it.

Owned this about 6 years ago. Funny thing is I've owned two Fords in all my life, and they were both 63 XL's ...... 40 years apart. :):)

I had a 66 Galaxie 500, same color as that with a stout 351 Cleveland in it, was originally a 289 car, and I've had a half dozen or so Fox body 5.0 cars.

The local High School has a racing team.
One of their racers is a Comet with an FE of unknown displacement to me.

Shaved off those immense front shock towers and installed coil overs.
I think I saw it run 11.10s at Famoso.

I think that is based on an F350, pretty cool beast, much bigger than anything I need.
Sounds about right
The regular Bronco was build on a F150 frame

I had one a few years ago, and added a 3rd row (from a Yukon XL, it had seat belts build in)
It was the only way I could fit the entire family in there...but that left about 2 inches of "trunk space"

The kids loved that truck, specially in the summer with the top off (it had a full size roll bar in it)

The IDIs were really good engines, but they won't pull a greasy string outta a cat's ***.
That's why I prefer the 7.5 or 460 but I know some guys these days just have to have a diesel of some sort. I really like the sound of diesel but I don't like seeing any black smoke.

The 7.5 or 460 is really the best pull you can get in a ford imo

Hey, @diymirage , the only reason most of us looked, is because we assumed you had lost your mind, and we couldn't wait to hear what you were going to say next!

That's a good body style. Not you.

90% of diesel trucks are for guys that have little dicks. The other 10% actually pull stuff.
