I dont blame you...
I would never expect one of us to own a truck made by the company that made trucks for the people who sucker punched us at pearl harbor

You're probably right -- out of 60,000 members, I've got to be the only one who owns a Japanese vehicle. But it's okay, imagine the looks I get when I'm towing one of my Mopars with it! Oh wait, usually I just get the "thumbs up"...

Soooo it’s American made don’t see a problem
I do...where do the profits go?
NOT to American companies, that's for sure

AND there is a difference between "American made" and "made in America"

where do the profits go?
Ummm... how about the paychecks of the American plant workers? Are you saying you care more about the profits of the company than American jobs? Because I can guarantee you that the big wigs over at Chrysler do not care one tiny bit about you or your family. And do you honestly believe that everything in your modern Dodge/Chevy/Ford comes from America? I promise you that a good majority or those parts are sourced from outside the US. Plastic? Electrical components? Even the steel I doubt comes 100% from the USA.

Ya but it’s providing jobs for people who live there spending their money on local products paying taxes and paying for local services stimulating the local economy. Don’t kid your self that company pays a substantial amount of taxes to the governments involved. Good for them if they can build a good product using local parts and talent paying all taxes and such and still turn a profit

Sure, but don't kid yourself that your jap truck is American
It is simply the automotive equivalent of an anchor baby

So that’s what happens when production cost skyrocket because of material and labour costs and people are screaming about the high cost. Companies find ways to cut costs so they can sell there products at a price that people can afford. Learned along time ago if the outfit I’m working for isn’t making any money it won’t be long before I’m not making any money. And you can’t pass protectionism law’s because you know where that leads
